Arthritic Pain

The massage, medical acupuncture and manipulative techniques used by osteopaths can help some arthritis sufferers with chronic pain.

Back Pain

Approximately 5.6 million working days in the UK are lost every year due to back pain. Time spent at a desk can be a large factor in this.

Gentle massage techniques of the tight muscles of the head, neck, shoulders and jaw, alongside manipulation to loosen the joints of the neck, thorax and ribcage can relieve the build-up of tension that may lead to headaches.

Neck Pain

Osteopaths use a wide range of manipulations depending on your age, body-type, fitness levels and diagnosis to reduce muscular tension and related pain in the neck.

Pregnancy Related Pain

Our treatments are aimed at normalising the structure so that it functions as efficiently as possible. Osteopaths use gentle techniques adapted for the pregnant patient.

Sciatica is normally caused by pressure or inflammation of the sciatic nerve arising from the lower back. Osteopaths can treat the related joints, muscles, ligaments or tendons to reduce the effects of this.

What We do

We treat a broad range of patients from new borns to the elderly, providing patients with an empathetic, thorough and caring treatment process. Please feel free to contact us for more information or to book an appointment.

A holistic approach to your problem. The first consultation is dedicated to finding out about you and what has lead to the development of your symptoms. We don’t just look at the area of pain, we try and establish why this has occurred in the first place, the root cause and the predisposing factors. Not only this, but what may be maintaining the problem.

Diagnosis. Once we have highlighted the source of the symptoms, we will explain this to you clearly so that you fully understand which structure(s) the symptoms are originating from, how this affects other areas and what may have caused the problem.

Imaging and referral. If we cannot establish why you are experiencing your symptoms, or you are not recovering in the time frame we would expect, we will refer you for further investigations. This can be via the NHS or privately. We can refer you to local imaging centres for X-ray, MRI, CT and ultrasound if deemed necessary.
